Accounts Manager and Accountant Required - TJ / 1916247

Our client, Vention, is seeking a skilled Accounts Manager and Accountant to join their finance team in Rawalpindi. The successful candidate will lead a team of eight accounting professionals and oversee all accounting functions, including financial reporting, bookkeeping, tax compliance, and payroll processing. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who ensures accurate account reconciliation and maintains compliance with GAAP and IFRS standards. The position also involves managing accounts payable and receivable while providing strategic financial insights to support business operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage a team of eight accounting professionals, offering guidance, training, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Oversee daily bookkeeping activities, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with GAAP and IFRS standards.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to maintain accurate vendor and customer accounts.
- Perform regular account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and oversee timely submission of tax filings.
- Supervise payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and adherence to labor laws.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel and various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, and Sage to automate and enhance financial processes.
- Implement and maintain accounting software and ERP systems to optimize workflow and reporting capabilities.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits and implement recommended improvements.
- Stay current with accounting standards and regulatory changes affecting company operations.
- Provide management with financial insights and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data collection and reporting.

Required Qualifications

- ACCA or ICMA certification is preferred.
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience in accounting and financial management.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience working with various accounting software and ERP systems, including QuickBooks, Xero, and Sage.
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
