We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive tax professional to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and filing various tax returns, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with current tax regulations. This role demands strong organizational skills and proficiency in accounting systems and spreadsheets to support financial tracking and reporting. The position is based on-site and offers a competitive monthly salary.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and file monthly and annual tax returns, including Sales Tax, Income Tax, Withholding Tax (WHT), Federal Excise Duty (FED), and other applicable taxes.
- Maintain accurate tax records and documentation to facilitate audit processes.
- Regularly reconcile tax ledgers and promptly resolve any discrepancies.
- Stay updated on changes in tax legislation to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Accurately enter and update financial data in accounting software and Excel spreadsheets.
- Keep detailed records of invoices, payments, and other financial transactions.
- Develop and manage spreadsheets to enhance financial tracking and reporting efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in preparing and filing various tax returns such as Sales Tax, Income Tax, WHT, and FED.
- Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations, with the ability to keep abreast of legislative changes.
- Proficiency in accounting systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
- Ability to reconcile financial records and resolve discrepancies effectively.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with auditors and internal teams.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Previous experience in a similar role within a corporate or accounting environment is highly desirable.
