Accounts Officer

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Officer to manage daily financial operations, including payroll processing, tax compliance, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate handling of payments, maintain financial records, and prepare reports that support business decisions. This role requires strong organizational skills and a thorough understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities

- Payroll Management and Disbursement: Process monthly payroll accurately, including wages, overtime, deductions, and tax withholdings to ensure timely employee payments.

- Payment Processing and Record Keeping: Oversee accounts payable and receivable, verify invoices for accuracy, perform bank reconciliations, and maintain comprehensive financial records.

- Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit all required tax returns such as Sales Tax, Income Tax, and VAT, ensuring full compliance with current regulations.

- Financial Reporting: Compile and prepare financial statements including Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow statements, and variance reports to provide insights into financial performance.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is mandatory.

- A minimum of 2 years of experience working as an Accounts Officer or Accountant.

- Strong knowledge of tax laws and accounting standards such as GAAP or IFRS.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions like Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.

- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero.

- Excellent time management, communication, and analytical skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA are highly preferred.

- Competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs50,000 to Rs70,000.

- This position requires the ability to reliably commute to or relocate to Rawalpindi prior to starting work.
