PsychPlus is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable (AP) Executive to join their finance team in Karachi. This full-time, onsite position operates Monday to Friday from 7:00 PM to 4:00 AM PKT. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily accounts payable tasks, including invoice processing, vendor record maintenance, account reconciliation, and ensuring timely and accurate payments. This role requires a solid understanding of basic accounting principles and hands-on experience in accounts payable functions. Familiarity with U.S. accounting processes or working with U.S. companies is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately process and record vendor invoices in a timely manner.
- Review invoices for completeness, accuracy, and proper approvals.
- Match invoices with purchase orders, receipts, and supporting documents.
- Maintain up-to-date vendor and accounts payable records.
- Perform vendor statement reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.
- Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up on pending approvals.
- Assist with payment processing and scheduling payments.
- Reconcile accounts payable balances and investigate discrepancies.
- Support month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
- Organize and maintain financial documentation and records systematically.
- Coordinate with internal departments and vendors to resolve invoice and payment issues.
- Ensure accurate recording of AP transactions in the accounting system.
- Provide assistance to the finance team during audits, reporting, and other accounting-related tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable or a related accounting role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Proven experience in invoice processing, vendor reconciliation, and payment handling.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and consistently meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
