The Accounts Receivable Manager will be responsible for overseeing the company’s accounts receivable function. This role ensures the timely collection of outstanding payments, accurate recording of customer transactions, and proper maintenance of receivable records. The position requires close coordination with various departments to maintain accurate financial data and support the company’s cash flow management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain customer accounts and receivable records with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Prepare and issue invoices to customers promptly and ensure all billing information is correct.
- Monitor outstanding invoices regularly and follow up with customers to secure timely payments.
- Maintain an updated accounts receivable aging report to track overdue balances.
- Record and reconcile customer payments and receipts to ensure ledger accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve any billing discrepancies or payment-related issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with Sales and Operations teams to address customer account inquiries and outstanding balances.
- Prepare regular reports on outstanding receivables, collections, and aging for management review.
- Reconcile customer accounts to ensure accurate ledger balances and financial reporting.
- Follow up persistently on overdue payments and escalate long-outstanding balances as necessary.
- Maintain proper documentation of invoices, receipts, payment records, and customer correspondence for audit and compliance purposes.
- Assist with month-end closing activities and other finance-related reporting as required.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures at all times.
- Perform additional finance-related duties as assigned by the reporting manager.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in Accounts Receivable or Finance & Accounts functions.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and receivable processes.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting or ERP software systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to follow up professionally.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Compensation and Work Location
The position offers a monthly salary range of Rs 50,000 to Rs 60,000. This role requires in-person attendance at the company’s office location.
