Accounts/Finance Executive (NVOCC)

Digitalent Solution is seeking an experienced Accounts Executive for a reputable client in the Shipping Line / NVOCC industry based in Karachi. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of relevant experience within the shipping or logistics sector and hold a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. This role requires strong communication, coordination, negotiation, and reconciliation skills to effectively manage financial processes and maintain accurate account statements. The position is located on Main Shahrah-e-Faisal, Karachi, with working days from Monday to Friday and alternate Saturdays. The role demands in-person attendance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the complete Statement of Account (SOA) process, including preparation, reconciliation, final confirmation, and timely uploading within agreed deadlines.
- Coordinate with agents to resolve discrepancies and negotiate settlements favoring the shipping line.
- Follow up on outstanding queries with agents and internal departments to ensure timely resolution and closure.
- Monitor pending detention charges, ensure consistent follow-up, and maximize recovery of outstanding amounts.
- Verify all charges against the mutually agreed cost matrix and agency agreements, ensuring no unapproved or unsupported charges are accepted in the SOA.
- Collaborate with Operations, Trade, Commercial, Inventory, M&R, POD, and Pricing teams to obtain necessary approvals for exceptional costs.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the Shipping Line or NVOCC industry.
- Strong communication, coordination, negotiation, and reconciliation skills.

Additional Information:
- Location: Main Shahrah-e-Faisal, Karachi.
- Working Days: Monday to Friday, with alternate Saturdays.
- Work Mode: In-person.
- Salary: Rs 110,000 per month.
