This position is part of the management team of the EU-funded Programme for Improved Nutrition in Sindh (PINS), nutrition specific project also known as ER2, covering 10 districts of Sindh as per of the Accelerated Action Plan for Malnutrition and Stunting in Sindh. This is a consortium based project with three co-applicants (RSPN, PPHI and Concern Worldwide) and a range of other partners. The position will require close liaison with the relevant Government of Sindh counterparts. This position is a technical position combining operational oversight, team management and technical leadership.
OBJECTIVES
Objective 1
To provide technical leadership of PINS ER2
Tasks & responsibilities
· Convene technical working groups;
· To support the process of development of tools for implementation and ensure that field teams and partners are able to use them efficiently;
· Ensure review of programmes on a regular basis as per global and national level updates;
· Identify gaps across implementation (including that of partners), and implement capacity building to fill gaps;
· Operational oversight from a technical and implementation perspective, and as support to COP;
· Utilise information from monitoring tools to further improve implementation;
· Conduct regular field visits, including to troubleshoot;
· To support the process of development and implementation of monitoring and information management tools;
· Organise and implement project life cycle management processes and tools.
Objective 2
To lead technical positions of PINS ER2 including those of partners
Tasks & responsibilities
· Recruit, mentor and manage human resources related to technical aspects of PINS ER2;
· Provide regular capacity building opportunities for staff and partners;
· Ensure timely review of staff skills as per global updates;
· Management of secondments, and their oversight to ensure that PINS is rightly represented in all relevant circles.
Objective 3
To engage in proactive liaison and representation of Action Against Hunger across the province
Tasks & responsibilities
· Support representation of the project and Action Against Hunger at province and district level;
· Map and proactively engage stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation;
· Support policy influence initiatives related to the programme and mission;
· Identify, establish and nurture external relations to support the programme and mission;
· Prepare briefings and presentations for relevant meetings;
· Support COP in networking of colleagues[AC1] Facilitate donor and stakeholder visits at provincial level;
· Ensure that project related information decimation events are conducted as per planning.
· Prepare and share timely notes of engagement conducted and planned.
· To support compilation of data, monthly , quarterly, annual reports.
Objective 4 (Gender)
To ensure inclusion across programming and within/by the team
Tasks & responsibilities
· Support mission level qualification for gender marker;
· Encourage inclusion within recruitment, training and promotion;
· Ensure inclusion within programme planning, implementation and reporting;
· Identify and mentor gender focal points in coordination with HR.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Mandatory
· Qualification: Bachelor or Masters the discipline of human nutrition, public health, public health policy or relevant fields.
· Master's degree in relevant field. Minimum 08 years of overall experience with 04 years in relevant management role in development sector OR Bachelor's degree in relevant field with minimum 10 years overall expereince with 06 years in relevant management role in development sector
· Good written and verbal communication in English;
· Nutrition specific or public health qualification;
· Experience working in nutrition specific or public health roles;
· Experience working within complex matrix based organizational structures;
· Strong networking skills;
· Excellent interpersonal skills
· Good resource and time management skills
· Supervisory and managerial skills with proven ability to manage a demanding workload
· Computer literate, knowledge of MS Word and Excel required
· Experience working in Sindh
· Willingness to travel frequently
Preference
· Sindhi language skills;
· Experience with EU grants;
· Experience within a large national or international organization;
