We are looking for an experienced Senior Revit Residential Drafter to support a U.S.-based architectural practice focused primarily on residential projects.

This is a hands-on Revit production role requiring professional experience with U.S. residential projects, strong Revit skills, and a solid practical understanding of residential construction, structural drawings, framing systems, and construction detailing. The candidate should be able to independently develop floor plans, sketches, structural information, and design direction into coordinated 3D Revit models and complete construction drawing sets with minimal supervision.

Strong English proficiency is required, as the candidate must be able to clearly understand technical instructions, discuss drawings and revisions, ask questions, and communicate directly and professionally with the client.

The position will begin part-time at approximately 20 hours per week, with the potential to transition to full-time based on performance and workload. Reliability, attention to detail, independent working ability, and proactive communication are essential.

Responsibilities
  • Independently develop comprehensive U.S. residential projects in Autodesk Revit from initial floor plans, sketches, and surveys through to fully coordinated construction document sets.
  • Produce detailed and accurate construction drawings, including floor plans, roof plans, elevations, building sections, wall sections, construction details, schedules, and sheet sets.
  • Apply expert knowledge of residential construction techniques and framing systems to accurately model assemblies such as walls, floors, roofs, and foundations.
  • Coordinate architectural models with structural and framing information to ensure integrated and constructible designs.
  • Manage drawing set revisions meticulously to guarantee that all impacted views, details, schedules, and sheets are updated consistently throughout the project.
  • Perform thorough quality assurance and quality control checks on drawings to verify accuracy, coordination, and completeness prior to client submission.
  • Follow client-specific Revit standards, templates, naming conventions, and documentation protocols to maintain uniformity across projects.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally to clarify technical questions, report progress, discuss missing information, and manage deadlines.
  • Create and modify custom Revit families and components as necessary to support project requirements.
  • Assist with site and topography modeling based on survey information, contributing to overall project accuracy and context.
  • Maintain strong organizational skills and attention to detail for identifying coordination challenges, modeling errors, and documentation issues.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while proactively addressing potential delays or obstacles.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. residential building codes, permitting requirements, and best practices in wood/light-frame construction.
  • Maintain and develop a high-quality Revit portfolio demonstrating technical skill in residential drafting and construction documentation.
  • Engage in continuous learning to stay current with construction technologies, building codes, and Revit software advancements.
