ABOUT ACTED PAKISTAN:

ACTED is a non-governmental organization with headquarters in Paris, founded in 1993. Independent, private and not-for-profit, ACTED respects a strict political and religious impartiality and operates according to the principles of non-discrimination and transparency. ACTED has been present in Pakistan since 1993. ACTED Pakistan programmes range from short-term emergency responses to recovery and rehabilitation, as well as longer-term development initiatives. ACTED strategy is to target vulnerable communities affected by natural and conflict-related disasters as well as lack of socio-economic development.

The Data Entry Clerk is responsible for entering and consolidating (i) data collected by Program and AME team and entering into database after proper check and validation under the supervision of the Database officer.

Functions

A.    Development of Information Collection Mechanisms

  • Data collection of Program and AME monitoring data regularly of education data (registration, attendance, training etc);
  • To ensure entry of data collected by Program and AME Monitors on monthly and regular basis;
  • To ensure identify issues and discuss with program and AME before timely entry into database connected to country office.
  • Regular follow-ups with program and AME on collection of missing data.
  • Respect and comply with ACTED data protection policies and procedures.
  • To ensure proper filing of data.

B.    Reporting

  • To work according to the priorities set by the database officer;
  • To share data to the Database officer at frequent and regular intervals on the progress of data entry and any outstanding inaccuracies and / or discrepancies.

C.     Technical skills

  • Strong command on MS Office (Excel, Word etc.)
  • Good typing speed and accuracy.
  • Hands on experience of MS Access.
  • Good concepts on database and knowledge about SQL server would be a big plus.

The staff member is responsible for ensuring that all relations with the communities we work are conducted in a respectful and consultative manner.  Due attention must be paid to ensuring that communities are adequately consulted and informed about ACTED programme objectives, activities, beneficiary selection criteria, and methodologies.  This is the responsibility of every ACTED staff member.
