Job Description


Under the supervision of the Project Manager/Deputy Project Manager/DRR Officer, the facilitator to Community Mobilizer is responsible for supporting the Community mobilizer during implementation of all interventions particularly formation of community structure (CERT/VERT/UCRF/UDMC) and VDMP Development; matching with organization’s quality criteria and strategy, and for developing open, mutually respectful, and accountable relationships with the target communities.

He / She is fully responsible of his / her activities in terms of quality and dead line.


Key responsibilities:

Implementation of DRR CBDRM Activities

  • Assist the field teams including Community Mobilizer, DRR Officer, and DRR Trainer during formation of community structure i.e. CERT, VERT, UCRF, UDMC and VDMP development.
  • Assist in need assessments, Participatory Rural Appraisals, through community consultations in connection with CBDRM in the intervention area;
  • Conduct household assessment and or field verification for beneficiary potential list provided by village CO.
  • Supports the development of agreements and MoUs with community based organizations.
  • Assist during implementation of trainings/seminars/Theaters.
  • Should possess skills in developing mitigation and community based risk assessments plans.
  • Should have knowledge of community led DRR projects.
  • Elaborate all needs based inputs and all other activities according to the objectives of the programme and the beneficiary involvement strategy of organization In Chitral.
  • Assist the field team for community Mobilization to ensure effective use of the community resources.
  • Assist to collect data for prioritization of community needs in perspective of DRR infrastructure.
  • Facilitates the capacity building and setup of representative community committees (steering committees).
  • Assist to ensure, through daily dialogues and consultations that the strategy of the projects and the commitments of the various stakeholders are adhered to.
  • Responsible for mainstreaming organization gender policy
  • Assist in dissemination of IEC materials for all activities implemented.


  • Assist to ensure proper documentation requested by the line manager is correctly completed.

Accountability to Communities and Beneficiaries

The staff member is responsible for ensuring that all relations with the communities we work are conducted in a respectful and consultative manner.  Due attention must be paid to ensuring that communities are adequately consulted and informed about organization programme objectives, activities, beneficiary selection criteria, and methodologies.  This is the responsibility of every staff member
