Job Description

Lead the execution of the configuration of the AdMaxim platform - conceiving the planning, execution and reporting of the creation of key assets used within the system:

  • AdMaxim Audience Segments

  • 3rd Party Audience Segments

  • Pinpoint Libraries

  • Whitelists of websites and apps

  • Global Blacklist of websites and apps

  • Identify raw data sets for use in AdMaxim product (tier 2 priority)

It is very important to note that this person will be expected to not only conceive the planning of the creation of these assets, but also play an active role in creating them, and do quality assurance checks, and maintaining and in depth knowledge of the existing portfolios at all times.

This is a hands on role, and while we can later scale the team with junior members performing this role after due time, this should definitely be seen as a skilled specialist role rather than as a manager until further notice.

Media Savvy

The team member will need to be able to provide reasoned, nuanced, responses to these sorts of questions in order to fulfil the whitelisting and audience segment creation parts of their remit:

    • What is your estimate demographic breakdown of the readership of Forbes magazine

    • Name 5 publishers that Aston Martin might want be happy to run on in the UK if they were launching a sports car that costs $120,000, and a couple of sentences for why you’ve chosen each one?

    • Research and prepare a list of 10 top premium publishers in Germany

    • Provide a list of the 5 largest supermarket chains in the UK.

    • What publishers have a 320x50 ad format on them

    • Identify non-brand safe publishers from a list of 1000s of different site URLs

    • Identify fake / clickbait websites from a list of 1000s of different site URLs

    • What sorts of whitelists we might want to create (eg contextual, performance based, based on other data signals)

    • What publishers might Nike be happy to run on in the UK?

Operational Skills

  • The role isn’t an explicitly technical one, but it would benefit someone who is accustomed to using different technology platforms, can quickly learn new ones and leverage them to their benefit

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Powerpoint

Numeracy

  • The ability to make campaign calculations to calculate impressions, clicks, CTR and other aspects and present accurate reports and manipulate data to make the required models and calculations

Client Savvy

The role won’t be client facing, but it will require someone that is able to ‘think like the client’ and understand what their objectives will be when using AdMaxim or other digital advertising partners.

Much of this can be taught, but it requires a good level of common sense and good judgement and the ability to understand a client’s key objectives, which are fundamentally pretty simple:

  1. Brand safety and quality

  2. Performance against their chosen metrics

  3. Cost effectiveness

Written & Spoken English

We would like this resource to be able to have direct contact with our media and data partners, in some case without supervisions (eg on Skype calls). Accordingly, they need to have superlative written and spoken English that is not only technically correct, but also has the right register for business communication in our sector.

O-Level, A-Level or MA English is must, US/UK passport holder will be preffered.
