Advisor

COMSATS University Islamabad is seeking a distinguished professional to join as an Adviser to the Rector for Arts, Culture, Heritage & Creative Industries on a contract or consultancy basis. This role is designed for an individual with a strong background in these fields, who can provide strategic guidance and support to enhance the university’s engagement with arts, culture, heritage, and creative sectors. The Adviser will play a pivotal role in shaping initiatives that promote cultural awareness, preserve heritage, and foster creative industries within the academic environment and beyond.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice and strategic direction to the Rector on matters related to arts, culture, heritage, and creative industries.
- Develop and implement policies and programs that support the integration of arts and culture into the university’s academic and extracurricular activities.
- Facilitate collaborations and partnerships with cultural institutions, heritage organizations, and creative industry stakeholders at local, national, and international levels.
- Promote awareness and appreciation of cultural heritage and creative arts among students, faculty, and the wider community.
- Support the organization of events, exhibitions, workshops, and seminars that highlight cultural and creative initiatives.
- Assist in securing funding and resources for projects related to arts, culture, heritage, and creative industries.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of cultural and creative programs, providing regular reports and recommendations to the Rector.
- Encourage interdisciplinary research and innovation in the fields of arts, culture, heritage, and creative industries.

Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Arts, Cultural Studies, Heritage Management, Creative Industries, or a related field.
- Proven experience in advisory or leadership roles within arts, culture, heritage, or creative sectors.
- Strong understanding of cultural policies, heritage conservation, and creative industry dynamics.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and manage projects or programs in relevant fields.
- Excellent communication, networking, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with academic and administrative teams.
