Agent 365 & AI Engineer - Freelancer/Contractual

We are seeking an experienced Agent 365 & AI Engineer with 4 to 8+ years of expertise in Microsoft cloud, automation, and AI engineering. This freelance or contractual role requires a commitment of 70-100% bandwidth over a six-month period, with mostly remote working arrangements. The successful candidate will play a critical hands-on role in implementing Agent 365 solutions, focusing on agent registration, identity management, access control, integrations, governance, testing, and deployment.

Key Responsibilities
- Implement and manage Microsoft Agent 365 technologies, including agent registration, identity, and access management.
- Develop and enforce agent governance and lifecycle management policies.
- Work extensively within the Microsoft 365 Copilot ecosystem and related technologies such as Copilot Studio.
- Integrate Microsoft Entra for identity and authentication purposes.
- Configure connectors, plugins, and REST APIs to enable seamless application integrations and data-source connectivity.
- Apply OAuth protocols, including delegated and application permissions, ensuring adherence to the principle of least privilege.
- Manage tools, actions, and authorization processes, incorporating human-in-the-loop and approval controls where necessary.
- Monitor Microsoft 365 data sources, implement logging, and conduct security assessments focusing on AI security concepts such as prompt-injection risks and sensitive data exposure.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with shadow or unapproved agents.
- Conduct thorough agent testing, production deployment, and troubleshooting to ensure operational stability and security.

Required Qualifications
- 4 to 8+ years of professional experience in Microsoft cloud environments, automation, and AI engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot, agent technologies, or Power Platform integrations.
- Proven ability to secure identities, APIs, connectors, and data access within complex environments.
- Familiarity with Microsoft agent-governance technologies and best practices.
- Demonstrated capability to configure, troubleshoot, and deploy solutions beyond architectural design, ensuring practical and effective implementation.
