Agentic AI Engineer

We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer with over 8 years of overall technology experience, including at least 3 years specializing in Agentic AI, to join a leading IT service company based in Shahre Faisal, Karachi. This onsite role operates Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm, offering a tax-free, market-competitive salary. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying intelligent AI agents that perform real-time task execution, contextual decision-making, and automation of complex business workflows. Experience with agentic AI systems, n8n workflow automation, large language model (LLM) integrations, and API-driven development is essential.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy real-time AI agents capable of autonomous reasoning, decision-making, tool invocation, and task execution.
- Build and manage automated workflows using n8n, integrating AI agents with APIs, databases, and third-party business applications.
- Develop AI-powered automation solutions leveraging LLMs, agent orchestration, memory, and multi-step execution processes.
- Integrate AI models such as OpenAI and Anthropic Claude into agentic workflows and automation pipelines.
- Create event-driven workflows triggered by webhooks, system events, incoming messages, and real-time data updates.
- Connect AI agents with CRMs, communication platforms, internal systems, and external services.
- Develop custom workflow logic using Python or JavaScript when native n8n nodes are insufficient.
- Implement API integrations, structured outputs, error handling, retries, and fallback mechanisms to ensure reliable execution.
- Develop both single-agent and multi-agent workflows using frameworks like LangGraph, LangChain, or equivalent technologies.
- Implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), vector databases, and contextual memory where necessary.
- Monitor, test, and optimize agent performance, workflow reliability, execution speed, and API costs.
- Apply security controls, credential management, and human approval mechanisms for sensitive or high-impact actions.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and business teams to identify automation opportunities and deliver practical AI solutions.

Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Agentic AI and real-time AI agent development.
- Practical expertise in n8n workflow automation, including triggers, webhooks, branching, API integrations, and orchestration.
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience integrating LLMs such as OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, or similar models.
- Solid understanding of agent tool calling, task planning, memory, and multi-step workflow execution.
- Proficiency with REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, authentication, and third-party integrations.
- Familiarity with agent development frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, or CrewAI.
- Knowledge of asynchronous processing, event-driven architecture, and real-time communication.
- Experience with databases, vector stores, and RAG pipelines.
- Strong debugging, logging, error handling, and production deployment skills for AI workflows.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Minimum of 5 years in relevant software development, AI engineering, or automation roles.
