Responsibilities
- Perform data analyses on hospital clinical data to understand the quality landscape of each facility
- Work with other team members to develop quality improvement strategies and implementation plans for each hospital
- Establish and maintain strong professional relationships with key hospital people especially hospital leaders like administrators and physicians
- Do chart review to correlate data findings with actual clinical activities
- Create presentations, handouts, statistical analyses, and graphics for client onsite visits
- Present hospital data, Quality Improvement plans, updates on healthcare policy, etc to a variety of hospital audiences
- Participate and in some cases lead interviews with key hospital personnel and physicians
- Participate and in some cases lead a variety of meetings related to hospital QI activities
- Manage conflict, deal with challenging physicians, resolve disputes, and facilitate change
- Meet frequently with hospital executive teams and board members to review goals for the engagement, specific implementation plans and timelines, progress to date, and to update the direction of the engagement
- Be available as an expert in quality improvement science in a variety of clinical areas
- Research best medical practices related to the quality improvement science being used by the consulting teams
- Suggest new ideas for quality improvement initiatives and create supporting materials to facilitate the implementation of these initiatives with client hospitals
- Be a positive and upbeat leader of the team, collaborative, engaged, and supportive of each team member’s personal and professional development
- Conduct all of these activities while maintaining the highest professional and ethical standards
