AI Application Developer

The role involves developing AI-powered applications for Sperton’s platforms, new products, and client solutions. You will work remotely from Pakistan, starting your day between 11 AM and 12 PM PKT. Your primary focus will be connecting large language models (LLMs) to APIs, databases, and business systems to create automated workflows that address real business challenges in production environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop AI agent applications and multi-step workflows to automate various business tasks.
- Enhance existing Sperton applications and client systems by integrating AI features.
- Collaborate with the current development team to support ongoing projects and contribute to live production work.
- Integrate LLMs with external APIs, databases, and third-party platforms to build seamless solutions.
- Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), knowledge retrieval techniques, and structured data extraction.
- Ensure systems are reliable and secure by applying proper testing, logging, and monitoring practices.
- Translate business requirements into practical technical solutions through close collaboration with stakeholders and development teams.
- Continuously evaluate new AI tools and frameworks, adopting those that improve product capabilities and efficiency.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in full-stack development or backend development.
- Proficiency in Python or Node.js/TypeScript, with strong experience in REST API development and third-party integrations.
- Hands-on experience building applications or AI agents powered by LLMs such as OpenAI or other providers.
- Familiarity with frameworks and tools like LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, or OpenAI Agents SDK.
- Solid understanding of tool calling, structured outputs, context management, and RAG methodologies.
- Experience working with databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar systems.
- Proven track record of deploying, debugging, and maintaining production-level applications.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience in building recruitment or sales automation agents is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of WordPress development, particularly adding AI functionalities to existing WordPress sites, is a plus.
