We are looking for an experienced AI Developer to enhance our existing PHP website by integrating an intelligent AI chat system. The project involves working with a sizable MySQL database containing 10 to 30 GB of extensive text data, including long paragraphs and detailed listings. The goal is to enable users to interact through natural language queries in a chat interface and receive accurate, conversational responses directly sourced from the database. The solution must deliver fast data retrieval and indexing, accurately interpret user intent, provide human-like summarization, and support flexible AI models, whether API-based like OpenAI or local models such as LLaMA.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate an AI-powered chat interface within a PHP-based website.
- Implement vector-based or semantic search methods to efficiently query and manage large volumes of text data.
- Optimize MySQL database indexing to ensure rapid and reliable response times.
- Configure, fine-tune, and maintain AI models, including both local models (e.g., LLaMA) and cloud-based APIs (e.g., OpenAI).
- Ensure smooth communication between the AI system and the MySQL database to deliver precise and contextually relevant answers.
Required Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in PHP or a similar framework, coupled with solid experience in MySQL database management.
- Proven experience integrating AI models such as LLaMA, OpenAI, or comparable platforms.
- Hands-on knowledge of vector embeddings, semantic search, or Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques.
- Understanding of database optimization strategies for handling large datasets efficiently.
- Ability to work independently and manage the project on a full-time basis.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Familiarity with AI and search-related tools and libraries such as LangChain, FAISS, or pgvector.
- Awareness of API rate limits, prompt engineering, and fine-tuning techniques for large language models (LLMs).
- Prior experience developing or integrating chatbot systems into web applications is highly desirable.
- This is a full-time, in-person role based in Rawalpindi, offering a starting salary of Rs50,000 per month.
- Candidates will be assessed on their expertise in AI or machine learning models, web development skills, chatbot integration experience, knowledge of vector search or embeddings, and prompt engineering capabilities.
