AI Engineer – Integration, QA & Delivery

We are seeking a motivated AI Engineer specializing in Integration, Quality Assurance, and Delivery to join our team in Islamabad. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in software engineering and hands-on experience with frontend development, AI integration, and automated testing. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to embed AI models into various platforms, ensuring seamless functionality and high-quality releases. The position requires an individual who is detail-oriented, proactive in problem-solving, and passionate about AI-driven workflows.

Key Responsibilities
- Integrate AI models into websites, applications, content management systems, and internal tools, taking ownership of prompt tuning, inference optimization, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines.
- Develop agentic workflows by connecting AI agents to application actions, APIs, and tools, enabling software to autonomously perform user tasks.
- Own the quality assurance and quality control processes by designing and implementing functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end test suites, with automation integrated into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Establish and maintain connections between AI systems and HUM products or third-party services through APIs, webhooks, and system hooks.
- Collaborate with backend engineers to manage release cycles, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) workflows, environment promotion, and version control.
- Monitor AI integrations in production environments by setting up logging, alerting, and error budgets, and drive timely resolution of issues.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 1 to 2 years of professional experience in software development, preferably with a focus on frontend technologies and AI integration.
- Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript, with experience using React or similar frontend frameworks.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional, integration, and regression testing.
- Comfortable working with APIs, webhooks, Git, and version control systems.
- Solid knowledge of frontend development and debugging techniques.
- Demonstrated interest in AI tools and prompt-based workflows.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Information
- Prior experience in frontend development using JavaScript/TypeScript and React is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience with QA automation and debugging practices will be advantageous.
- Exposure to AI tools and prompt engineering workflows is considered a plus.
- This role requires in-person work based in Islamabad.
