AI Engineer / Developer

7 Kings Code is seeking two entry-level AI Engineers to join the team developing AI Sale Agent, an AI-driven voice sales platform managing live outbound campaigns for paying clients. This full-time, on-site role is based in DHA Phase 8, Lahore, and requires working Monday to Friday during US Eastern business hours (5:30 PM to 2:30 AM PKT during daylight saving). Reporting to the Senior AI Engineer / Team Lead, candidates will contribute directly to a live production AI product, focusing on feature implementation, bug fixes, AI API integrations, and prompt engineering. This position offers a hands-on learning environment designed for developers with foundational software skills and practical AI API experience, aiming to grow into more independent engineering roles within 6 to 12 months.

Key Responsibilities
- Python Development: Build and maintain features, components, and utility scripts following technical specifications.
- LLM Integration: Integrate language model APIs, manage structured outputs, handle errors, retries, timeouts, and logging.
- Prompt Engineering: Draft, update, and test AI-agent prompts and campaign configurations under supervision.
- API Integrations: Develop and maintain connections with CRM, lead-generation, and telephony platforms via APIs and webhooks.
- Bug Fixing: Reproduce issues, analyze logs, identify root causes, implement fixes, and verify outcomes.
- Testing: Write and run tests, including simulated call scenarios, to validate AI-agent behavior before deployment.
- Internal Tools: Create scripts, utilities, and dashboards to support campaign configuration, monitoring, and reporting.
- Data Processing: Assist with lead imports, data cleanup, bulk updates, and call or transcript extraction.
- Documentation: Maintain clear records of implementation details, API behavior, configuration steps, and known limitations.
- Code Reviews: Submit code for review, incorporate feedback, and participate in peer reviews.
- Continuous Learning: Develop expertise in Python, LLM applications, backend engineering, and the AI Sale Agent platform.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year professional software development experience; paid full-time internships with substantial coding count. Academic projects alone do not qualify.
- At least 6 months hands-on experience integrating LLMs or AI APIs, including coding requests and processing outputs.
- Intermediate Python skills demonstrated through a practical coding exercise.
- Ability to explain a software project in technical detail, including debugging and implementation decisions.
- Practical Git experience with branches, commits, and pull requests in team settings.
- Experience with REST API integration, error handling, and basic backend endpoint development.
- Working knowledge of JSON, data handling, and SQL fundamentals (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or equivalent).
- Strong debugging skills using logs and error reproduction.
- Clear written and spoken English with emphasis on technical communication.
- Openness to feedback, learning from code reviews, and showing improvement.
- Full-time availability for on-site work during specified night shifts aligned with US business hours.
- Willingness to complete a practical coding and LLM assessment and discuss solutions in technical interviews.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related field preferred; self-taught candidates with verifiable experience and portfolio are welcome. Final-year students are not eligible.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience with Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
- Familiarity with voice, speech, or audio APIs like Whisper, Deepgram, or ElevenLabs.
- Knowledge of telephony integrations using Twilio or RingCentral.
- Understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), embeddings, or vector databases.
- Exposure to AI agent frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex.
- Basic frontend development skills with React or similar technologies.
- Experience with Docker and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Automated testing with pytest.
- CRM integrations with platforms like GoHighLevel, HubSpot, Salesforce, or Zoho.
- Participation in public coding portfolios, hackathons, or open-source projects.
- Previous experience working night shifts or US business hours.
- Interest in sales technology and go-to-market automation.

Candidates will join a collaborative environment focused on growth, with clear milestones for the first 90 days and ongoing development aimed at progressing to a Mid-Level AI Engineer within 12 to 18 months. This role offers the opportunity to work on a live AI-powered platform, gaining valuable experience in production LLM applications and integrations under experienced technical leadership. The starting salary is from Rs100,000 per month. Remote or hybrid work options are not available; candidates must have valid work authorization in Pakistan.
