AI Platform Engineer

Join Articares as an AI Platform Software Engineer and take ownership of a single, self-reinforcing system: a reusable, secure, and scalable AI-powered development environment. This role involves hands-on software delivery where you will create coding agents, automation, and guardrails to plan, implement, test, and ship real software features. Each release improves the environment and product quality in a continuous loop, ensuring faster delivery without compromising reliability for stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Own and develop Articares’ agentic-AI development environment as an integrated system. Build reusable, secure, and scalable components—including coding agents, automation tools, evaluation harnesses, and guardrails—that any team can safely adopt. Continuously improve the environment based on hands-on software delivery experience.

- Deliver software products end-to-end using this environment. Manage features from AI-assisted specification through implementation, testing, review, and release across the digital Care Platform and the software powering rehabilitation robots H-Man and ReHandyBot.

- Automate the entire delivery pipeline, including AI-assisted specification, code generation, autonomous testing, review, and deployment, to reduce release cycle times progressively.

- Enhance quality alongside speed by embedding AI-driven static analysis, generation-augmented test suites, and self-healing CI/CD pipelines that detect defects early and minimize regressions.

- Define and monitor delivery metrics such as cycle time, lead time, defect escape rate, and mean time to recovery (MTTR). Use these insights to optimize agent workflows, prompts, and tooling for continuous improvement across your own deliveries and those of other teams.

- Strengthen the environment for scalable reuse by implementing robust security measures, observability, cost control, and clear documentation, enabling confident adoption by teams beyond your own.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on software engineering experience delivering production software, with a strong foundation in modern development practices including testing, CI/CD, and code review.

- Proven experience building and operating AI/LLM-powered development tooling such as coding agents, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, prompt engineering, or agent orchestration frameworks, with a demonstrated track record of shipping real products using these tools.

- Practical experience with cloud infrastructure, containerization, and delivery automation tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and GitHub Actions or similar, along with an instinct for measuring and reducing delivery cycle times.

- Solid understanding of LLM safety, evaluation, and observability, with a commitment to implementing guardrails, cost control, and reproducible agent behavior.

Preferred Qualifications

- Proficiency in C# and React Native is highly desirable.
