The Senior Architect (BIM Coordinator) will lead and manage the BIM processes across architectural and multidisciplinary design projects. This role involves coordinating between design teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure the delivery of high-quality BIM models, drawings, and data in line with project requirements and international BIM standards.
The ideal candidate will have strong architectural design knowledge, expertise in BIM platforms (particularly Revit and Navisworks), and a proven ability to manage model coordination, clash detection, and data integrity across multiple disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate BIM processes and deliverables for architectural and multidisciplinary projects.
Develop, manage, and implement BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and project-specific BIM standards.
Ensure model accuracy, quality control, and compliance with project BIM protocols.
Conduct model coordination meetings and perform clash detection using Navisworks or equivalent software.
Collaborate with design teams (Architectural, Structural, MEP, Civil, etc.) to ensure model integration and consistency.
Support project teams in developing BIM content, templates, and libraries according to company standards.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior architects and modelers on BIM best practices.
Manage and coordinate information exchange between design, construction, and client teams through Common Data Environments (CDEs).
Assist in the preparation of detailed design documentation and ensure deliverables are aligned with LOD (Level of Development) requirements.
Participate in design review meetings, contributing to design optimization and constructability reviews.
Support digital innovation initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement of BIM workflows within the organization.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in architectural design, with at least 5 years specializing in BIM coordination.
Software Proficiency: Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, BIM 360 / ACC, Dynamo (preferred), and other relevant BIM tools.
Strong knowledge of international BIM standards (ISO 19650, AIA, PAS 1192, etc.).
Excellent understanding of multidisciplinary coordination and construction documentation.
Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings and resolve coordination issues.
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Familiarity with 4D/5D BIM and model-based quantity take-off is an advantage.
Experience in large-scale projects (residential, commercial, infrastructure, or mixed-use developments) is preferred.
