Draftsman/autocad Designer

The Draftsman/AutoCAD Designer will contribute to various stages of product design and development by converting concepts into detailed drawings and 3D models. Working within the mechanical engineering domain, this role requires the use of advanced CAD tools such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks to create accurate representation of parts and assemblies. The individual must follow established drafting standards and ensure consistency and clarity of all documents. This position supports engineering teams by providing design alternatives and modifications as needed, maintaining design integrity throughout the product lifecycle. The role involves coordinating with manufacturing teams to address any design-related queries and incorporate feedback effectively for optimized production readiness.
Responsibilities

Create detailed mechanical drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and SolidWorks software following industry drafting standards.
Interpret technical specifications, sketches, and verbal instructions to develop accurate design documentation.
Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand design requirements and incorporate necessary modifications.
Ensure all drawings adhere to company and international quality and drafting standards to facilitate seamless manufacturing processes.
Review and revise existing drawings to improve accuracy, compliance, and manufacturability.
Develop and maintain a library of standard components and templates for efficient design reuse and consistency.
Coordinate with manufacturing and quality teams to resolve any design issues during production phases.
Assist in the preparation of technical documentation including assembly instructions and bill of materials.
Stay updated with the latest CAD technologies and trends to continuously improve drafting and modeling practices.
Support engineering project timelines by managing drawing deliverables and ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks.
