Job Summary:
A.J. Corporation is looking for a skilled and detail oriented Planning Engineer (Mechanical) to join our Project Planning Team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Oil and Gas EPC Mechanical Industrial Projects,including oil terminals/depots construction, storage tanks fabrication, static equipment installation and piping works. You will be responsible for project planning , scheduling, monitoring and coordination to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
Projects Exposure (Must have Understanding):
. Oil Depot/ terminal construction projects.
. Storage tanks fabrication and erection.
. Static equipment installation.
. Mechanical piping works.
. EPC based industrial Oil and Gas Projects.
Requirements:
. Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
. 10 years of relevant experience in Planning and scheduling (EPC/Oil & Gas projects)
.Strong expertise in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
. Strong analytical, reporting and problem solving skills.
. Excellent communication and coordination abilities.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using Primavera P6 to track progress and identify potential delays or risks.
- Prepare and update daily, monthly, and fortnightly progress reports, including progress phylums and S-curves for both schedule and budget monitoring.
- Create and manage project budgets, including detailed employee head breakdowns, budget summaries, and cash flow sheets, ensuring cost control and resource allocation efficiency.
- Review and approve critical project documents such as cash demand logs, interim payment certificates, drawing status logs, material purchase requests, and estimation of manpower and equipment deployment plans.
- Coordinate communication between procurement, engineering, and site execution teams to ensure alignment with project schedules and timely delivery of milestones.
- Monitor subcontractor performance by analyzing progress reports and facilitating prompt corrective actions to maintain project timelines.
- Prepare and maintain various project records including procurement, engineering, invoice plans, additional work resources and cost sheets, analytical reports, and query registers.
- Manage the preparation and approval process for baseline schedules and secure client approvals to establish clear project timelines.
- Facilitate effective communication between site offices and head offices by maintaining a communication matrix, and providing weekly progress updates to clients.
- Conduct monthly progress review meetings and generate detailed reports for top management, highlighting key achievements, risks, and areas requiring attention.
- Identify project risks and maintain a risk register, developing mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project delivery.
- Compile comprehensive project close-out reports and lesson learned documents to support continuous improvement in project planning and execution.
- Prepare official correspondence, including letters of claim and requests for project extensions, demonstrating clear and professional communication with clients.
