Architect

Akbar and Associates is seeking an experienced Architect with a minimum of five years of professional experience to join our innovative team. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong architectural design, planning, drafting, and construction documentation skills. This role requires proficiency in AutoCAD and Building Information Modeling (BIM), along with the capability to create detailed and coordinated plans. The Architect will work closely with structural and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) disciplines to ensure seamless project integration and compliance with all building materials, codes, and site practices. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment and possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills. They are adept at site analysis and planning, using 3D modeling techniques to visualize projects accurately. Communication and teamwork abilities are essential as the Architect contributes to the successful execution of architectural projects from concept to completion, ensuring high-quality standards and innovative design solutions at Akbar and Associates.
Responsibilities

Develop and produce architectural designs, plans, and detailed drawings using AutoCAD and BIM software.
Prepare coordinated construction documents and ensure alignment with the project requirements and regulatory standards.
Conduct site analysis and planning to assess project feasibility and inform design decisions.
Collaborate effectively with structural engineers, MEP professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure integrated design solutions.
Research and stay current on building materials, codes, regulations, and best practices relevant to architectural projects.
Create and maintain accurate 3D models to support visualization and design development.
Review project specifications to ensure adherence to construction standards and client expectations.
Participate in client meetings and presentations to communicate design concepts clearly and respond to inquiries.
Identify and resolve design issues proactively, employing strong problem-solving techniques to maintain project timelines.
Support construction administration activities by reviewing shop drawings, responding to requests for information, and overseeing quality control.
