- A concrete pump operator is responsible for the operation of a truck-mounted concrete boom pump
- Evaluate the site conditions and set-up the truck appropriately
- Uses and cares for tools and equipment associated with and including the concrete pump and truck
- Operates the boom and pump as required to place concrete in the desired locations
- Light repair of pumps: Some maintenance is required. Know the pump well enough to recognize problems and report them
- Customer relations: Represent the Company through efficient work and courteous service
- Keep unit clean: Keep the pump and truck washed and free of concrete and grease. Keep system free of concrete
- Yard: Return system after use to appropriate location in the yard. Keep yard neat and orderly
- Paperwork: Complete and submit pump inspection forms, job ticket, and maintenance forms. Keep an accurate timecard of time worked
- Loads and unloads concrete pumps and attachments
- Complies with safety regulations and precautionary measures while operating the concrete pump – protects self and others by following work safe procedures
- Conducts routine maintenance and repairs to the machinery
- Various other duties (deliveries, material handling, etc.) to support other business divisions as required
- Communicates effectively, is flexible, and discusses and resolves issues
