The Senior Drafter will be responsible for leveraging advanced AutoCAD 2D and Civil 3D skills alongside electrical design applications such as EPLAN, SEE Electrical, and Elecdes to prepare comprehensive engineering documentation. The candidate creates and maintains detailed design templates, equipment details, and power and schematic diagrams essential to the successful manufacturing and commissioning of control protection panels. Key duties include designing cutout drawings, updating drawing databases and catalogs, and ensuring that as manufactured and as built drawings are accurate and delivered on schedule. Experience in generating layouts that include front, rear, side views, foundation details, and single line diagrams is critical. The Senior Drafter must also demonstrate strong knowledge in reading electrical wiring and relay diagrams from diverse OEMs and applying this knowledge to detail design projects.
Responsibilities

Create General Arrangement drawings for control protection panels at 33kV and 132kV voltage levels based on customer and engineering input.
Develop detailed design drawings for control protection panels including front, rear, and side views with foundation details.
Read and interpret relay wiring diagrams from various OEMs such as Siemens, Hitachi, ABB, SEL, and GE to ensure accurate schematic designs.
Prepare detailed Switchgear and Local Control Cubicle (LCC) drawings in compliance with project standards.
Produce single line diagrams, power diagrams, schematic diagrams, wiring schedules, and cutout drawings using AutoCAD and electrical design software.
Develop and maintain templates, symbol libraries, scheme blocks, databases, and catalogs essential for consistent drafting standards.
Create as manufactured and as built drawings accurately reflecting modifications and site conditions post-fabrication and installation.
Ensure all drawings adhere to CAD standards and company quality requirements, achieving timely submission of high-quality deliverables.
Collaborate closely with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to gather detailed design inputs and clarify technical aspects.
Utilize proficiency in AutoCAD 2D, Civil 3D, EPLAN, SEE Electrical, and Elecdes to enhance and accelerate drafting efficiency and accuracy.
Review and incorporate customer feedback and changes during design development to reflect latest specifications.
Maintain continuous improvement mindset in drafting procedures to optimize workflow and reduce errors.
Provide technical input and guidance on drafting best practices and compliance with electrical design standards.
Support project teams by responding effectively to queries related to engineering drawings and schematics.
Manage drawing revisions, document control, and ensure proper archival of project documentation.
