Al Shifa Trust Eye Hospital seeks a highly organized and experienced Coordinator - Medical Services to lead coordination efforts within our healthcare environment. This role requires a Bachelors or Masters degree in Hospital Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related discipline, along with 5 to 7 years of professional healthcare experience. The ideal candidate has 2 to 3 years experience in executive coordination or clinical administration, demonstrating mastery in managing workflows for senior medical professionals. This position involves supervising a dedicated team of five, ensuring seamless communication and operational efficiency in delivering superior medical services. The successful candidate combines advanced knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare compliance with strong digital proficiency in MS Office applications and electronic reporting systems. Exceptional organizational skills, discretion, and the ability to clearly convey complex clinical information to varied stakeholders are essential for this role. The Coordinator will play a key role in managing clinical governance, prioritizing hospital-wide medical services, and supporting top-level executives with strategic administrative functions.
Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate daily medical service operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to healthcare compliance standards.
  • Manage and support a team of five staff members to optimize operational efficiency and service delivery.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between senior medical executives and various clinical departments, facilitating effective communication and information exchange.
  • Maintain expertise in medical terminology to accurately interpret and manage clinical documentation and reporting requirements.
  • Implement and monitor electronic reporting and documentation systems, ensuring accuracy and timely submission of medical records and minutes.
  • Coordinate hospital-wide clinical governance initiatives, prioritizing urgent medical services and supporting decision-making processes.
  • Develop and maintain schedules, prepare detailed reports, and organize meetings and presentations for executive leadership.
  • Demonstrate discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive medical and administrative information.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Train and mentor team members on best practices in communication management, workflow optimization, and clinical administration.
