The Quality Control Pharmacist at Al Shifa Trust Eye Hospital is responsible for ensuring the safety, efficacy, and quality of pharmaceutical products through meticulous testing and adherence to regulatory standards. Working within the pharmaceutical quality control department, the pharmacist performs routine analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products, strictly following established Standard Operating Procedures to maintain product integrity. This role requires a strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices, laboratory safety, and regulatory compliance to support the hospital's commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare solutions. In this role, the pharmacist collaborates with senior staff during audits and stability testing efforts while maintaining laboratory cleanliness and safety. The position demands precision in documentation, preparation of reagents and solutions, and investigation of deviations to ensure accuracy and regulatory adherence. The Quality Control Pharmacist is expected to handle these responsibilities independently without managing a team, contributing to continuous quality improvements within the pharmaceutical manufacturing process at Al Shifa Trust Eye Hospital.
Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine Quality Control testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished pharmaceutical products in compliance with approved Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Prepare reagents, volumetric solutions, and buffers accurately and safely under supervision to support laboratory testing requirements.
  • Document all observations, calculations, and laboratory test results with precision in logbooks and worksheets to ensure traceability and compliance.
  • Assist senior quality control personnel during GMP audits, stability testing processes, and equipment calibration or maintenance activities.
  • Maintain strict adherence to laboratory cleanliness, safety protocols, Good Laboratory Practices, and Good Manufacturing Practices to guarantee a safe working environment.
  • Investigate deviations and non-conformances related to quality control test results and collaborate with quality assurance to implement corrective actions.
  • Support regulatory compliance by ensuring all documentation and testing activities meet pharmaceutical guidelines and standards.
  • Utilize analytical chemistry techniques, including chromatography, to identify and quantify chemical components within pharmaceutical samples.
  • Manage GMP documentation efficiently, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all required reports and records.
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives to optimize laboratory processes, testing accuracy, and compliance adherence.
