We are looking for an experienced chemical engineer, polymer scientist, or formulation chemist who can assist with interpreting laboratory analysis results (e.g., ICP, TGA, FTIR, ash content) for a specialty industrial material.
The goal is to understand the composition of an existing product and use the available analytical data to estimate component proportions and suggest a technically viable formulation using common industrial ingredients.
The product is widely used in the polymer processing industry and contains a mix of organics, inorganics, and functional additives.
Scope of Work:
Analyze lab reports (provided by us)
Identify key material classes and their relative proportions
Suggest a compatible and practical ingredient breakdown
Provide reasoning or methodology used for estimations
Guide on how to improve the performance or reduce cost
Skills Required:
Background in polymer, material, or chemical engineering
Experience with interpretation of TGA, ICP, FTIR, and ash analysis, Acid Digestion Method Test
Familiarity with plastic additives, stabilisers, or industrial formulations
Ability to use Excel or basic modelling for percentage calculations
Deliverables:
Component breakdown (estimated)
Formulation table
Brief summary or justification for the formulation
