Alif Industry is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Head to oversee all maintenance activities at its Raiwind, Lahore facility. This key leadership role requires a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or Electrical Engineering along with 7 to 12 years of relevant maintenance experience, including at least 4 to 5 years in a managerial or leadership capacity. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Injection Molding and Plastic Extrusion manufacturing environments. The Maintenance Head will lead a team of 50 personnel, ensuring maintenance operations maximize machine uptime, production efficiency, and safety standards.
The Maintenance Head will be responsible for spearheading preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities while managing both internal maintenance teams and external contractors. The role demands extensive troubleshooting skills across hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems, inventory and budget management, and the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives. This position calls for a proactive leader who can plan and execute maintenance strategies that support Alif Industrys manufacturing goals and maintain high operational reliability.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to ensure optimal machine performance and production efficiency.
- Manage and mentor a team of 50 maintenance professionals, including technicians and contractors, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Develop, plan, and monitor maintenance schedules to reduce breakdowns and maximize equipment uptime.
- Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostics of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of production equipment to meet operational requirements and safety standards.
- Manage maintenance budgets, including planning and control of spare parts inventory to avoid production delays due to equipment downtime.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and maintenance best practices across all maintenance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing equipment failures, performing root cause analysis, and advancing maintenance methodologies.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and engineering departments to align maintenance activities with overall business objectives.
- Ensure documentation and reporting of maintenance work, maintenance history, and performance metrics for effective monitoring and decision-making.
