Job Description

The Manager Accounts is responsible for performing highly specialized accounting work required to maintain the general ledger.  Working under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer, the Manager Accounts directs and coordinates the daily activities of the accounting staff to quickly and accurately record the revenues, expenditures, assets, and liabilities of the company.  He is also responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly, biannually and annual financial statements and coordinating the company’s annual audit.

  1. Is responsible for accurate voucher entries on daily basis.
  2. Is responsible for payments and expenses verification and authorization.
  3. Is responsible for receipts and sales verification and authorization.
  4. Is responsible for the compliance with internal control policies within the parameters of the company policy.
  5. Is responsible for inter branch, company and bank reconciliation on monthly basis.
  6. Is responsible for assisting tax consultant for filing of income tax returns of the company and associated concerns.
  7. Is responsible for assisting tax consultant in order to prepare replies and appeals regarding tax notices issued by the tax departments.
  8. Is responsible to prepare branch wise weekly & monthly closing and monthly debtor reports along with aging.
  9. Is responsible to prepare expenses reports on monthly basis branch wise.
  10. Is responsible to prepare financial statements e.g. Cash Flow, Bank Statement, Cash Book, P&L Account, Trial Balance, Balance Sheet and also bound for handover to CFO for final approval on monthly basis.
  11. Assisting Chief Financial Officer as and when required.
  12. Streamlining financial reporting structure positions in ERP.
  13. Is responsible for dealing with sales team regarding receivables.
  14. Is responsible for up to date regarding customer discount policy and procedure.
  15. To assist internal/external auditors as and when they are appointed to perform a specific job.
  16. Any other task as & when assigned by the department head or concerned authority.
