We are seeking a Mid-Level JavaScript developer who is highly skilled with Vue.JS. You will be responsible for developing the user side of the web application and improving the user experience. A successful candidate will be expected to work with standard programming tools such as version control and deployment software, follow industry best practices, write tests for the code you write, and follow all applicable coding guidelines.
Your primary responsibilities will be taking part in daily scrums, writing and developing modules for existing Vue applications, integrating Vue into existing projects, writing code and tests for code, taking part in code review sessions, and using version control software to push and pull code for testing and deployment.
A successful candidate will coordinate with other team members, including back-end developers and UX/UI designers. Your commitment to team collaboration, perfect communication, and a quality product is crucial.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop user-facing applications using Vue.JS
- Write reusable, effective, and scalable JavaScript code
- Build modular and reusable components and libraries
- Optimize your application for performance
- Implement front-end components with progressive Vue.JS framework
- Execute automated testing integrated into development and maintenance workflows
- Translate the client’s technical specifications into code
- Staying up-to-date with all recent developments in the JavaScript and Vue.JS space
- Keeping an eye on security updates and issues found with Vue.JS and all project dependencies
- Proposing any upgrades and updates necessary for keeping up with modern security and development best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related field
- At least 3 - 4 years of experience in Vue.JS and object-orientated programming
- Proficiency with the JavaScript language and its modern ES6+ syntax and features
- Proficiency with Vue.JS framework and its core principles such as components, reactivity, and the virtual DOM
- Familiarity with the Vue.JS ecosystem, including Vue CLI, Vuex, Vue Router, and Nuxt.JS
- Good understanding of HTML5 and CSS3
- Understanding of server-side rendering and its benefits and use cases
- Knowledge of functional programming and object-oriented programming paradigms
- Ability to write efficient, secure, well-documented, and clean JavaScript code
- Familiarity with automated JavaScript testing, specifically testing frameworks such as Jest or Mocha
- Proficiency with modern development tools, like Babel, Webpack, and GIT
- Experience with both consuming and designing RESTful APIs
