NJV School Management Board is looking for a proactive and relationship-oriented Alumni Engagement Officer to develop and maintain a structured and dynamic alumni network. This position serves as the main point of contact for graduates, ensuring accurate record-keeping and tracking of alumni outcomes. The role focuses on fostering strong connections by engaging alumni as mentors, referral sources, and ambassadors for the institution. The successful candidate will create meaningful opportunities that benefit both alumni and current students, supporting NJV’s broader community engagement and development objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive alumni database or CRM system, capturing key information such as employment status, further education, and other relevant outcome data.
- Design and execute an alumni engagement strategy through newsletters, digital communications, and in-person events to keep graduates connected.
- Establish and manage structured mentorship programs that link alumni with current students and recent graduates for guidance and support.
- Facilitate job and internship referrals by leveraging the alumni network.
- Engage alumni as ambassadors to support fundraising efforts, community outreach, and institutional storytelling initiatives.
- Conduct regular alumni outcome surveys and prepare detailed reports for Student Affairs leadership to inform strategic decisions.
- Plan and coordinate alumni reunions, networking events, panel discussions, and other engagement activities to strengthen community ties.
- Collaborate closely with the Career Development & Guidance Unit to align alumni data with career support services.
- Update alumni academic and socio-economic profiles through systematic monthly, quarterly, and annual reviews.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Reporting Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- Between 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in alumni relations, community engagement, CRM/database management, or a similar area.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships across diverse groups.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in CRM/database management and meticulous record-keeping.
- Demonstrated event planning and coordination capabilities.
- Strong organizational skills with a focus on reporting and data management.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.
- Experience working within educational institutions or nonprofit organizations is an advantage.
