Job Description

A successful candidate must have the ability to make decisionsand problem solve in response to changing conditions, have experience working in the books analyzingaccounting for small businesses.


Applicants applying should possess the skills listed below:

  • 3+ years of experience in Accounting, Tax & Payroll.
  • Must possess advanced skills with QuickBooks, MS Excel, and/or show recent, certified training.
  • Highly organized with strong written and oral communications skills and professionalism.
  • Experience with workflow software and client time tracking software is preferred.
  • Developing Standards, Analyzing Information, Dealing with Complexity, Reporting Results, DataEntry Skills, Accounting, Attention to Detail, Confidentiality, and Thoroughness.DUTIES for Staff Accountant Aspect:
  • Accounts for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts and ensuring bookkeepingpolicies and procedures.
  • Maintains subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
  • Balances subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries.
  • Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries.
  • Balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
  • Maintains historical records by filing documents.
  • Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information andtrends.
  • Complies with federal law.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Reconciles bank statements by comparing statements with general ledger.
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
  • Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed
  • Prepares meaningful and well-written recommendations for inclusion in client correspondence
  • Understands the clients' businesses, including significant tax, accounting and managementissues
  • Exhibit leadership, influence, ethical standing and a strong emphasis on continuous learning.
  • Position will be available immediately to the right candidate(s).
  • Initial pay will be commensurate with thecandidate’s qualifications with opportunity for advancement based on performance, attitude, and ability towork efficiently under pressure.
