Amanah Group of Companies is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor specializing in Civil engineering to support our high-rise building projects based in Lahore. This role focuses on managing and auditing various commercial aspects of construction, including the estimation processes, quantity take-offs, cost analysis, procurement evaluation, and material reconciliation specifically for MEP and Civil works. The ideal candidate brings a decade of experience in quantity surveying for complex construction projects and excels in using technical tools such as MS Excel and AutoCAD. While this position does not involve managing a team, it requires close collaboration with project teams and subcontractors to ensure accurate cost control and financial reporting. This role demands a deep understanding of civil engineering principles combined with a meticulous approach to preparing and auditing Bills of Quantities, payment certificates, and subcontractor expenses. The candidate must be adept at evaluating variations, claims, and the commercial impact on projects to support the Head of Audit with comprehensive findings and recommendations. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail underpin the successful execution of these responsibilities, ensuring that all financial aspects of the projects align with budgetary goals and contractual obligations.
Responsibilities

  • Review and audit project estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and quantity take-offs to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
  • Prepare and audit Interim Payment Certificates based on work progress and site verification.
  • Review and audit subcontractor bills and petty cash expenses for correctness and adherence to project scope.
  • Prepare and verify comprehensive Bills of Quantities (BOQs) detailing all required materials, labor, and related costs.
  • Develop detailed cost estimates for project materials, labor, equipment, and other related resources to assist with budgeting and planning.
  • Prepare and audit Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) to validate quantities and support material procurement decisions.
  • Perform thorough cost analysis and procurement evaluations to optimize resource allocation and project expenditure.
  • Monitor material consumption on-site and conduct material reconciliation to prevent wastage and ensure accurate stock records.
  • Evaluate project variations, contractual claims, and their commercial impacts, providing detailed reports and recommendations for resolution.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency in project costing and financial reporting to assist senior management with informed decision-making.
  • Prepare findings, audit reports, and supporting documentation for the Head of Audit and other stakeholders to maintain transparency and compliance.
