Android Developer - Flutter & Native Android - TJ / 1898521

Our client, Coalescence Solutions, is seeking an experienced Android Developer with strong expertise in both Flutter and native Android development to join their team in Karachi. The successful candidate will initially manage and enhance existing Flutter-based mobile applications, handling maintenance, bug fixes, feature enhancements, API integrations, and application releases. As the company transitions toward dedicated native Android applications, the role will evolve to focus primarily on native Android development, requiring ownership of the entire Android app lifecycle. This position demands a hands-on developer who can work independently, quickly understand existing codebases, solve problems efficiently, and take full responsibility for features from development through deployment.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, enhance, and support the current Flutter/Dart mobile application.
- Develop new features and address bugs, crashes, and performance issues.
- Design and build the company’s native Android application using Kotlin and Java as needed.
- Take long-term ownership of Android application development and maintenance.
- Integrate mobile applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Implement responsive, user-friendly interfaces based on design specifications.
- Manage mobile-specific functionalities including authentication, notifications, permissions, local storage, background processing, and device integrations.
- Diagnose and resolve compatibility, performance, API, and device-specific issues.
- Handle Android application builds, signing, versioning, and releases through the Google Play Console.
- Maintain clean, well-structured source code using Git version control.
- Collaborate effectively with other development team members.
- Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-documented code.
- Participate in the transition from Flutter to native Android applications.

Required Qualifications
- 4 to 6 years of professional experience in mobile application development.
- Strong experience in native Android development with solid knowledge of Kotlin.
- Good working knowledge of Java.
- Proven practical experience with Flutter and Dart.
- Deep understanding of the Android SDK, application lifecycle, permissions, services, notifications, and background processing.
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs and handling JSON data.
- Familiarity with mobile authentication, secure storage, and application security fundamentals.
- Good understanding of Flutter state management and application architecture.
- Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Strong debugging, profiling, and application optimization skills.
- Experience preparing and publishing production applications via the Google Play Console.
- Solid grasp of mobile UI/UX principles and responsive layouts.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience with Firebase, push notifications, maps and location services, deep linking, payment integrations, CI/CD pipelines, and migrating or redeveloping Flutter applications into native Android apps will be considered an advantage.

Employment Details
This is an onsite position based in Karachi, Pakistan. Working hours are from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with Fridays off and alternate Saturdays off. The salary range is PKR 120,000 to 140,000 per month, determined by the candidate’s experience, technical skills, and interview performance. The preferred joining date is December 2026, subject to recruitment completion and mutual agreement.
