The Android Developer will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Android applications that meet both business goals and user expectations. This full-time, on-site position based in Karachi involves working closely with product and design teams to implement user interfaces aligned with Android design guidelines. Responsibilities include integrating APIs and backend services, optimizing app performance and reliability, debugging issues, writing clean and maintainable code, and participating in code reviews. The developer is also expected to stay updated on the latest Android best practices and emerging technologies to continuously improve the mobile solutions delivered.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Android applications that align with business and user requirements.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to create seamless user experiences.
- Implement user interfaces following Android design principles, including Material Design guidelines.
- Integrate RESTful APIs and backend services to ensure smooth data flow and functionality.
- Optimize application performance, security, and scalability for a robust user experience.
- Debug and resolve issues promptly to maintain app reliability.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Participate actively in code reviews to ensure code quality and knowledge sharing.
- Stay current with Android development trends, tools, and best practices.

Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in Mobile Application Development within the Android ecosystem.
- Strong proficiency in Android development and design, including familiarity with Material Design and modern Android frameworks.
- Solid understanding of software development fundamentals such as object-oriented programming, data structures, and design patterns.
- Hands-on experience with Kotlin and/or Java, Android Studio, Gradle, and common Android libraries like Retrofit, Room, and Jetpack components.
- Ability to integrate RESTful APIs, manage offline storage, and ensure app performance and security.
- Strong problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, on-site team environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git and familiarity with agile development methodologies is highly advantageous.
