The CCTV Cum IT Officer is responsible for routine inspections and preventative maintenance of surveillance and IT equipment to guarantee continuous monitoring effectiveness. The position requires troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues affecting the CCTV and related IT systems, preparing detailed incident and technical reports, and ensuring all operations comply with internal security guidelines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and video management software is essential for documentation and communication purposes. Although this role involves no team management, it requires an individual with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to independently safeguard company assets through integrated CCTV and IT operational support.
Responsibilities

  • Continuously monitor live CCTV camera feeds to detect and report suspicious activities, security breaches, theft, and safety incidents promptly.
  • Maintain consistent surveillance vigilance and communicate incidents efficiently to relevant security teams and management.
  • Prepare detailed incident reports with accurate timestamps, locations, descriptions of events, and recommended follow-up actions.
  • Coordinate effectively with on-site security personnel to respond swiftly to emergencies and security-related events.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on CCTV equipment, including IP cameras, DVR/NVR systems, access control hardware, and video management software to ensure uninterrupted operation.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to CCTV hardware, software, IP camera configurations, and network performance impacting video surveillance systems.
  • Manage network configuration and troubleshoot basic networking issues to support stable IT infrastructure and connectivity of surveillance systems.
  • Ensure strict confidentiality and security of surveillance footage and sensitive data, upholding data protection and company security policies.
  • Document technical specifications, maintenance procedures, and incident reports clearly and accurately using Microsoft Office tools.
  • Work efficiently during rotating shifts maintaining high levels of situational awareness, meticulous attention to detail, and full compliance with established security protocols.
