Job Responsibilities:

 

• Oversee the collection of data from various sources, including survey teams, sensors, BIM models, and other data repositories.

• Do surveys with the team and make reports where should be the need for the new project and maintenance is needed.

• Integrate data from diverse sources into a unified and accessible database.

• Develop and execute data processing workflows and algorithms for data analysis.

• Generate insights from data to support decision-making in civil engineering projects.

• Create and distribute reports and visualizations to convey important findings and trends from the data.

• Develop dashboards for real-time monitoring of project metrics.

• Define and enforce data governance policies, standards, and best practices.

• Work closely with internal (peers, business partners and leadership) & external (business community, clients and vendors) stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure they are met.

• Communicate data insights to senior management, project teams and executives.

• Stay updated on emerging technologies and tools related to data processing and recommend their adoption to improve data management and analysis.

• Provide data support for civil engineering projects, including monitoring progress, assessing risks, and optimizing project workflows.

• Oversee survey, staking, and layout of projects.

• Ensure that all surveying activities adhere to local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including ethical and professional standards set by surveying organizations.

• Present reports and proposals to stakeholders

• Train team members on data processing tools, surveying knowledge and methodologies.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in statistics, data science, computer science and computer engineering, or a related field.

• At least 8 years' experience managing data science projects and teams.

• Project management skills for organizing and overseeing survey projects.

• Knowledge of doing civil surveys

• Proficiency in the use of surveying equipment, including total stations, GPS, and laser scanners.

• Strong knowledge of surveying principles, techniques, and industry standards.

• Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with precision.

• Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
