- Measure land features, such as depth and shape, using reference points.
- Research and examine previous land records and verify data from previous records.
- Prepare maps and land reports, and provide reports and findings to clients or potential contractors.
- Create and log records of survey results
- Measure land boundaries.
- Make recommendations on the suitability of land for the desired build or project.
- Purchase and maintain required equipment for effectively completing surveys.
- Provide guidance and support to field staff or junior surveyors and estimators.
- Provide site visits to clients and potential land buyers or developers to show them the land and explain the key points from the survey.
Requirements:
- DAE Survey or similar field
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, and diagrams
- Ability to effectively manage projects
- Strong analytical skills, with keen attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated knowledge of health and safety guidelines
- Good report writing skills
- Strong manual dexterity
- Good problem-solving abilities
- Ability to prioritize own time and workload
