The Anthropometric Desk Coordinator (ADC) is responsible for conducting anthropometric screening of beneficiaries, maintaining accurate program documentation and records, and delivering nutrition education and counseling sessions at the Facilitation Centre. The incumbent will ensure compliance with BNP protocols, maintain the quality of beneficiary data, and support effective implementation of nutrition interventions.


Responsibilities

 

  • Conduct anthropometric measurements of pregnant and lactating women and children as per BNP guidelines.

  • Measure and record weight, height/length, Mid Upper Arm Circumference (MUAC), and other required indicators accurately.

  • Ensure all anthropometric equipment is properly maintained, calculated, and used according to standard operating procedures.

  • Verify measurement accuracy and maintain quality standards during screening activities.

  • Ensure confidentiality and dignity of beneficiaries during screening procedures.

  • Maintain complete and accurate beneficiary records.

  • Record screening results and program data in approved registers.

  • Verify data accuracy and promptly correct any discrepancies identified in records.

  • Compile and submit required reports to the Facilitation Centre In-Charge within defined timelines.

  • Maintain secure storage and confidentiality of all program documents and beneficiary information.

  • Deliver BNP awareness, nutrition education, and behavior change communication sessions according to approved material.

  • Facilitate group counseling sessions for beneficiaries and caregivers.

  • Explain key nutrition messages, maternal and child health practices, breastfeeding, complementary feeding, hygiene, and dietary diversity concepts.

  • Encourage beneficiary participation and address questions during sessions.

  • Support demonstration activities and practical learning exercises conducted at the Facilitation Centre.

  • Guide beneficiaries through screening, registration, counseling, and compliance.

  • Assist in follow-up and tracking of program participants when required.

  • Any other tasks assigned by Supervisor.

  • Adhere to BNP operational guidelines, SOPs, and donor requirements.

  • Ensure data quality, accuracy, and completeness in all screening and documentation processes.

  • Implement recommendations from supervisors and quality assurance teams.

  • Report challenges, data inconsistencies, equipment issues, and beneficiary concerns promptly.

Safeguarding & Code of Conduct

  • Uphold and promote MERF's Code of Conduct, safeguarding and Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) and child safeguarding policies.

  • Foster a safe, respectful and inclusive working environment and ensure all team members understand and comply with safeguarding obligations.
