Accountant

AP Traders is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant with at least 2 years of experience to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of financial accounting, including reporting, accounts payable and receivable, and order-to-cash processes. This role involves working closely with accounting software and ERP systems to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations. The Accountant will lead and supervise a team of 4 individuals, coordinating daily accounting activities and supporting the financial health of the company. The Accountant will play a key role in preparing financial reports, monitoring cash flow, and maintaining accurate records. The individual must possess a solid grip on Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to create detailed reports and presentations. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and order-to-cash cycles.
Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
Utilize accounting software and ERP systems to maintain and update financial records.
Coordinate and oversee the work of a team of 4 accounting personnel, providing guidance and support to improve team performance.
Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies in accounts.
Monitor cash flow to ensure availability of funds for operational needs.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Develop and maintain documentation for accounting procedures and controls.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
Prepare presentations and reports using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to communicate financial information effectively.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and facilitate audit processes when required.
Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and increase efficiency within the accounting team.
