Painter/ Denter

Apex Auto is seeking a highly skilled Painter/ Denter with at least five years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in vehicle bodywork repair, precise color matching, and the effective use of paint booths to ensure immaculate finishes. This role requires a professional who can handle the entire painting process from the base preparation to the final color application with exceptional attention to detail and quality. The position involves managing a small team of one person, requiring strong leadership and coordination skills to maintain high standards of work and meet deadlines efficiently. The candidate must possess outstanding skills in masking and taping to protect non-painted surfaces, thorough knowledge of paint mixing techniques to achieve the exact color tone, and a commitment to delivering elite craftsmanship on every project. Responsibilities

Prepare vehicle surfaces by removing old paint, sanding, and repairing body damage to ensure a smooth base for painting.
Perform precise color matching using established techniques to replicate factory or custom colors accurately.
Operate paint booths and other painting equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to environmental and safety regulations.
Apply base coats, clear coats, and other paint layers systematically to achieve a flawless, durable finish.
Utilize masking and taping techniques to protect areas not intended for painting, ensuring clean lines and no overspray.
Mix paints according to specifications, maintaining consistency in color and texture throughout the application process.
Inspect finished work carefully to ensure all surfaces meet quality and perfection standards before delivery.
Manage and train a team member to uphold high workmanship standards and consistent painting practices.
Maintain workspace cleanliness and organize tools and materials to optimize workflow and safety.
Collaborate with other departments and communicate effectively to coordinate repairs, manage timelines, and ensure customer satisfaction.
