Application Advocate Analyst

World Business Lenders (WBL) is a privately held portfolio lender specializing in real estate-secured business loans for underserved businesses. Operating with a fully remote, multinational workforce and guided by an experienced executive leadership team, WBL offers a dynamic and flexible work environment. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Eastern Time, with occasional additional hours as business needs dictate.

Key Responsibilities

The Application Advocate is responsible for managing the entire lifecycle and business success of an internally developed software application. This role acts as the primary liaison between users, business leadership, technology teams, and other stakeholders. The Application Advocate owns the application roadmap, gathers and prioritizes requirements, coordinates delivery, ensures release readiness, drives adoption, monitors ongoing performance, and leads continuous improvement efforts.

- Application Strategy and Ownership: Serve as the main point of accountability for the application throughout its lifecycle. Maintain clarity on the application’s purpose, roadmap, stakeholders, dependencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

- Requirements and Prioritization: Collect and document user needs, business rules, and acceptance criteria. Manage the backlog and recommend priorities based on value, urgency, risk, effort, and company goals. Secure business sponsor approval for significant requirements and policy decisions.

- Delivery Coordination: Facilitate collaboration among developers, users, vendors, and other contributors. Track project scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, and key decisions. Provide progress updates and escalate any delays, conflicts, or resource constraints.

- Testing and Release Readiness: Oversee testing and business acceptance processes. Ensure that documentation, training, support, security, and operational preparations are complete. Make informed recommendations on release readiness and monitor post-release issues.

- Adoption and Value Realization: Lead communication efforts, training initiatives, and user support activities. Monitor application usage, gather feedback, and assess whether intended business outcomes are achieved. Identify and address gaps in adoption or performance.

- Operations and Maintenance: Track application performance, incidents, support requests, defects, and recurring problems. Prioritize maintenance, technical debt reduction, and enhancements. Keep all relevant documentation up to date, including support, continuity, and recovery plans.

- Risk and Governance: Coordinate security, legal, compliance, audit, and internal control reviews. Monitor risks, vulnerabilities, findings, and remediation efforts. Regularly report on application health, delivery status, adoption, business value, and outstanding issues.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Availability to work Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Eastern Time.
- Stable internet connection and a professional remote working setup.
