As an Application Developer specializing in SAP ABAP, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining application solutions within the SAP NetWeaver environment. Your role will involve working with different SAP ABAP variants to create, enhance, and optimize complex application components. You will integrate software packages, develop reusable objects, and support multiple platforms to meet client requirements. This position demands strong technical expertise and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support SAP ABAP applications across various modules and platforms.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Develop and enhance complex application components, including reports, interfaces, forms, and workflows.
- Re-engineer existing applications to improve performance and scalability.
- Integrate SAP software packages and reusable objects to ensure seamless functionality.
- Collaborate with functional consultants, architects, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to SAP ABAP applications.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
- Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies and best practices to continuously improve development processes.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in SAP ABAP development within the SAP NetWeaver environment.
- Strong knowledge of ABAP programming techniques, including modularization, object-oriented programming, and performance optimization.
- Experience with SAP development tools such as ABAP Workbench, SAP GUI, and Eclipse-based ABAP Development Tools.
- Familiarity with SAP modules and integration points.
- Ability to analyze complex business processes and translate them into technical solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with global teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
