Application Support Engineer

The Application Support Engineer role is based in Hyderabad within the Cloud Engineering division. This position requires 1 to 3 years of experience and focuses on providing technical support and ensuring smooth operation of cloud-based applications. The engineer will be responsible for addressing user inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with various teams to maintain and improve application performance. The role demands strong problem-solving skills and the ability to document solutions clearly for both internal teams and end-users.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide timely and professional responses to user inquiries, technical issues, and requests for assistance.
- Follow established escalation procedures to ensure critical issues are promptly addressed and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain and update comprehensive documentation of known issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in a knowledge base or support portal, ensuring accessibility for support teams and end-users.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as development, quality assurance, and product management to resolve complex technical problems and relay user feedback effectively.
- Investigate reported issues by attempting to reproduce them in controlled environments and gather additional information from users when necessary. Escalate complex problems to senior support engineers or development teams.
- Conduct testing of new application releases or updates to verify functionality and ensure no new issues are introduced. Work alongside testing and development teams to validate bug fixes and enhancements.
- Identify recurring patterns in support requests and work with senior engineers to improve application usability, reduce common issues, and enhance the overall support process.

Required Qualifications

- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in application support or a related technical role.
- Experience working within cloud engineering environments is preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Ability to document technical issues and resolutions clearly and maintain knowledge base content.
- Familiarity with application performance monitoring (APM) tools is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with users and internal teams.
