Layers is seeking a Technical Product Manager to lead the development and ownership of its internal platforms that support the global circular fashion supply chain. This role focuses on building and continuously improving tools such as inventory and grading systems, rack house storefronts, supplier dashboards, and demand-matching logic. The ideal candidate will work directly with operational teams to translate real-world problems into effective software solutions, leveraging modern AI-assisted development tools to design, build, and ship products independently. Key Responsibilities

- Own the end-to-end roadmap for Layers’ internal systems, including inventory and grading tools, rack house storefronts, supplier dashboards, and demand-matching logic.
- Translate operational needs from supply, grading, and commercial teams into practical, working internal tools quickly.
- Prioritize development efforts based on business impact rather than technical curiosity.
- Use AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code or similar) to design, build, test, and deploy software solutions directly.
- Make informed architectural and data-structure decisions to ensure scalability and reliability of internal systems.
- Evaluate when to integrate existing tools or APIs versus building custom solutions, making confident decisions to optimize speed and efficiency.
- Rapidly deploy tools to internal teams and rack house partners, iterating based on actual usage and feedback.
- Maintain clear and accessible documentation to ensure usability by non-technical staff as systems evolve.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience in product management, technical program management, or a hands-on technical/builder role.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience building functional software using AI coding assistants; this is essential to the role.
- Strong product intuition with the ability to transform complex, messy operational challenges into clean, user-friendly tools.
- Working knowledge of data models, APIs, and basic system design sufficient to make sound architectural decisions independently.
- A builder’s mindset, comfortable with shipping products directly rather than solely specifying and delegating.
