AR Executive

XenMD is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Billing AR Executive to join their team in Phase 7, Bahria Town, Rawalpindi. This full-time position operates on a night shift schedule and requires managing insurance Accounts Receivable (AR), claim follow-ups, denials, payment issues, and outstanding balances. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with U.S. healthcare billing, strong communication skills for interacting with insurance companies, and the ability to review claim statuses, identify denial reasons, and take appropriate actions to resolve outstanding AR efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and follow up on outstanding insurance Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Review unpaid, partially paid, rejected, and denied claims.
- Contact insurance companies to obtain claim status and payment information.
- Identify reasons for claim denials, rejections, and underpayments.
- Take appropriate action to resolve outstanding claims.
- Prepare and submit corrected claims and appeals when necessary.
- Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), Electronic Remittance Advices (ERAs), and payer correspondence to identify payment and denial issues.
- Track claim follow-ups and maintain accurate documentation.
- Work on aging AR, including 30, 60, 90, and 120+ day accounts.
- Identify trends in denials and recurring payer issues.
- Coordinate with billing and coding teams to resolve claim-related issues.
- Verify patient eligibility and insurance information as required.
- Follow up on claims with Medicare, Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, and commercial payers.
- Maintain accurate notes and follow-up dates in the billing system.
- Escalate complex or high-value claims to appropriate team members.
- Meet daily and monthly AR productivity and collection targets.
- Prepare AR reports and provide updates to management and account managers.
- Maintain patient and provider information in compliance with HIPAA and company policies.

Required Qualifications
- 1 to 3+ years of experience in U.S. medical billing AR preferred.
- Strong understanding of the U.S. healthcare revenue cycle.
- Experience with insurance claim follow-up and denial management.
- Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, and commercial insurance plans.
- Ability to interpret EOBs and ERAs accurately.
- Knowledge of common claim rejection and denial reasons.
- Experience preparing corrected claims, reconsiderations, and appeals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with computers and medical billing software.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience
Experience working with medical billing platforms such as Athenahealth, Tebra, Office Ally, Kareo, AdvancedMD, SimplePractice, Claim.MD, Waystar, Availity, and various payer portals is highly desirable. Experience across multiple medical specialties is considered a plus.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
The successful candidate will be expected to achieve targets related to AR follow-up volume, claims resolved per day, collection performance, aging AR reduction, denial resolution rate, timely claim follow-up, accuracy of claim documentation, and appeal and reconsideration turnaround times.

Compensation
