Meds Nexus is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Receivable (A/R) Specialist to join our team on-site in Rawalpindi. This role involves managing accounts related to U.S.-based medical billing operations, with a primary focus on claim audits, tracking unpaid accounts, resolving claim rejections, and optimizing revenue recovery. The position requires working night shifts from 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM, Monday through Friday, and is ideal for candidates comfortable with this schedule and able to commute to the office.
Key Responsibilities
- Audit patient claim forms to verify accuracy and gather any missing information prior to final claim submission.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding, aged, or unpaid claims through phone calls, web portals, and insurance systems, emphasizing Medicare and Medicaid accounts.
- Reconcile insurance payments against contracted fee schedules to identify and resolve underpayments or discrepancies.
- Manage Denial Management processes by filing formal appeals and handling secondary or tertiary claim cycles.
- Respond to telephone inquiries from insurance carriers and patients regarding the status of assigned accounts.
- Maintain detailed and clear tracking notes while preparing comprehensive daily and weekly A/R reports using MS Excel.
- Collaborate regularly with Team Leads and Managers to communicate portfolio performance and provide timely account updates.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in U.S. Medical Billing, Accounts Receivable follow-up, Denial Management, and Appeals.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) and billing platforms such as AdvancedMD, eClinicalWorks, Kareo, Practice Fusion, OfficeAlly, EncoderPro, and various payer portals.
- Strong technical skills, including advanced MS Excel capabilities, familiarity with web fax utilities, and fast, accurate typing.
- In-depth knowledge of medical coding and billing standards, Medicare and Medicaid regulations, and prior authorization processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution in any discipline.
