AR Specialist - Medical Specialist

Meds Nexus is seeking a dedicated Accounts Receivable (A/R) Specialist to join their team on-site in Rawalpindi. This role involves working night shifts from 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM, Monday through Friday. The successful candidate will manage accounts receivable tasks specifically related to U.S. medical billing processes. The primary responsibilities include tracking unpaid claims, overturning claim denials, and ensuring accurate financial reconciliation for assigned client accounts. This position requires strong attention to detail and effective communication to maintain smooth billing operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Verify patient claim data before submission, ensuring all necessary information is complete to minimize upfront rejections.
- Conduct proactive follow-ups on outstanding insurance claims through online portals, phone calls, and adherence to payer guidelines.
- Reconcile insurance payments against contracted rate schedules to identify and resolve any discrepancies.
- Manage denial workflows by preparing appeal packages and processing secondary and tertiary claims.
- Handle inbound and outbound communications with insurance representatives and patients regarding balance inquiries.
- Maintain detailed account action notes and generate structured A/R performance reports using MS Excel.
- Provide regular updates to Team Leads and Managers on collection progress and account trends.

Required Qualifications
- 1 to 2 years of experience in U.S. medical billing, accounts receivable follow-up, and denial management.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, digital faxing tools, and fast, accurate data entry.
- Strong knowledge of medical coding standards, Medicare/Medicaid policies, and authorization procedures.
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
